this is not good. the

this is not good. the fedex website tracking program says that my motherboard and processor were delivered to my house yesterday. however, they never were. it says that it was signed for by someone named "tara." i could just be really stupid and that could be a fedex acronym, but it still worries me. my neighbors say that it didn't come to them. i'm thinking of calling fedex and asking them what the deal is. *twitches* this is really unnerving. i'll post more later.

it came!! *jumps up and

it came!! *jumps up and down* it came it came it came!!! i wonder why it thought it had been delivered. oh well... it doesn't really matter! it came! :op

afraid.... to.... touch.

afraid.... to.... touch.

estoy escuchando a: hans zimmer

estoy escuchando a: hans zimmer and lisa gerrard - gladiator - now we are free

well i had a band thing this morning. i had to get up at 7:30 and go play a few little songs for this policemen's safety fair or whatever. it was... boring. afterward i caught a ride home with a friend named kim who plays french horn. let me tell you, i have never seen a crazier driver than her. she didn't slow down taking tight turns and consequently i would fly against the door of the car, and yes, i was wearing my seatbelt. i think i might have even been wearing two. :op so we had a couple people in the car, and one friend suggested that we go get some donuts from krispy kreme. so we did. i love being in high school so much. ;o) so as soon as i got back we got ready to go down to galveston for mardi gras. i got some pretty beads, and i saw a guy from my school on one of the floats and he gave me a cup. :op we stayed a little longer than i would have liked though. it's only 8:30 and already i'm ready to go to bed.

update on computer: i'm a little afraid to do anything with it. tomorrow i'm going to the computer store with my dad and my grampa for two reasons: 1) to buy memory and hopefully a case for my new system, and 2) to chew out the stupid compusa people for selling my grampa a defective computer. i really was annoyed with how that whole sale took place. they wouldn't shut up about buying a warranty. and after we finally said no for the thousandth time, they just didn't care about us anymore. compusa employees work on commission. can you believe they actually gave us our computer in a shopping cart, with no box, no software, and not even a power cord? i'm glad i was there when grampa bought it or he would have totally been taken advantage of. i made them put it in a box and bubble wrap it and everything, but they still acted like they hated us since we didn't buy the warranty.

i read up to page 100 of great expectations, and i have to read to 170 by wednesday. i think i'll make it, but it will be hard. bryan, on the other hand, hasn't started yet. poor him. :o) as for now, i'm extremely tired after waking up early and staying in galveston all day. i think i'm going to go watch a movie or tv or something. my brother just came over and related to me how much dust is on my sister's shelves. wow, what a wonderful piece of information. :op i guess i'll end this post here and get some sleep.

bleh. today has just been

bleh. today has just been one annoyance after another. i woke up way earlier than i should have due to my siblings making noise. i did some reading in great expectations and i'm on page 120-ish. so then we were going to go to epo to buy a case for my new system (which would be the last piece) and to compusa for my grampa's computer. well, it turns out that epo was closed. so no case yet. when we get to compusa, lo and behold, there's the guy that sold us the defective computer and bugged us about the warranty. so he launches into his whole deal about how it's not really defective and we should have bought the warranty. wow, didn't see that one coming. then he proceeds to lie to us. (keep in mind that this is the manager) he was telling us how one model was more expensive than another one because it was a "newer model". when i brought it to my dad's attention that there is only one model that's even produced, the manager yelled at me: "yes, it is a newer model, and don't raise your voice at me sir!" i had to resist the urge to tell him, "i'm sorry, no one was talking to you." then he tells us about one computer having 128 mb of ram. i started to open my mouth to say "it only has 64" and then he saw me and cut me off with "thereabouts". so then we finally came to a deal which he apparently didn't like, because as soon as we went to go check out, he left for lunch. he didn't even tell his employees he was leaving, and they had to call in a new manager! i am never ever buying anything from compusa again.

so then we came home and my brother and sister have just been their stupid selves while i have to take care of them (parents are at a super bowl party). weehee...

and that is all

and that is all i have to say about that. :od

estoy escuchando a: star wars:

estoy escuchando a: star wars: episode i playing in my dvd player

well i'm enjoying my new computer, and it seems to be working perfectly. i have a lot of stuff installed, and photoshop starts up in under two seconds. o_o i love my new computer sooooo much. lol. :o) so i'm a little neurotic. get over it. :o)

i finished the first stage of great expectations!! i'm so proud of me, i actually did my english homework. you may have noticed that my blog randomly rotates three background images. tell me what you think of it. email me: webmaster@darthwhoever.com. nothing really important happened today, i guess. my stupid health teacher got mad at me for making a joke to one of my friends before class started. ooookay. :o)

it's time for andu to get some sleep, methinks.

dang. i missed a day.

dang. i missed a day. :op oh well. today's classes were of that mediocre type that school so often achieves. wow, that was a cool sentence. i'm kind of excited about our little trombone choir thing. doug yeo, who is a bass trombonist for the boston symphony and uncle of two girls in our school's band, is coming to our school to work with the band, and in particular, the trombone section. so we have three pieces, scarborough fair, o sacred head (bach), and one commissioned specially for a trombone choir called tower music. we'll be performing them at the next concert. they even have posters a local copy shop printed up to put around town: "doug yeo performing with the clear lake falcon band, featuring the clhs trombone choir" :o) and on top of that, i'm playing tempered steel and golden bear march with the symphonic band. *claps hands* such fun. :o)

so tonight i went to a good friend's birthday party. and i met a lot of her other friends which was cool. i met one girl who was very nice and hung out with my and hayden (another friend) during the party. when it was time to leave, she gave me a hug and said "well i made a new friend tonight." yay, andu likes new friends. new female friends are even better. ;o) i didn't just say that.

woke up, went to fry's

woke up, went to fry's electronics, babysat, got a headache, went to sleep. :o)

estoy escuchando a: alien ant

estoy escuchando a: alien ant farm - smooth criminal

from thespark.com's lazy test:

we've taken that into account, and your low-low apr financed couch potato co-efficient value is...

48% lazy

people lazier than you (50%)
people just as lazy as you (4%)
people less lazy than you (44%)

well i got to go

well i got to go see the count of monte cristo with leif tonight. as a standalone film, i thought it was really well done, despite some bad acting at parts. the humor was great and well timed (not like *coughcough* jar jar). however, the movie didn't do justice to the book. a lot of ideas were rethought and plot elements rewritten. the book, as it is in many cases, was better than the film. so afterward we were waiting for my dad to pick us up and these guys came up to us.

them: "hey, what time is it?"

us: "6:22"

them: "hey, you guys want some weed? you'll be all like 'auhhhh'" *eyes roll back in head*

us: "no thanks, we'll be fine"

them: "what time is it?"

us: "6:22"

them: "okay.... you sure you don't want any weed?"

us: "positive"

them: *walk away*

us: *snicker*

them: "hey, no laughing at us"

us: "of course not!"

them: "no laughing"

us: "none whatsoever"

them: "good. what time is it?"

us: "6:22"

them: "no laughing"

us: "goodbye now."

them: "no laughing at us"

leif: "this is so going in your blog"

and so it did. :o)

dangit, how come people don't

dangit, how come people don't comment?? i sit here refreshing waiting for someone to comment! *hangs head in shame* i have no life.

bleh to you. bleh to

bleh to you. bleh to me. bleh to the world. :o)

i guess smitha is trying to confuse poor people like me by reversing her blog (it used to be info on the right and blog on the left). i got halfway down the left column before i realized it wasn't a post. meanie. :op

greg gave me a cd with half of star wars: episode iv on it in mpeg format, and i'm about to see if it works. btw, if you're in the legal system and reading this, i promise i didn't do it.

i need to come up with some goals for the week.

  • read through stage ii of great expectations

  • finish my redesign of our band website (comments appreciated)

  • finish reading fellowship of the ring

  • finish floorplan of archgfx project

that should be enough for now. :o)

yep, the movie works, but

yep, the movie works, but it's pretty low quality. *giggles* it's still fun to watch though. i wonder when i get the next installment. :op

estoy escuchando a: lord of

estoy escuchando a: lord of the rings soundtrack - howard shore

i have about 4 favorite soundtracks and this is one of them. it's just awesome. i'm currently on "concerning hobbits" and i just like to close my eyes and listen to it. i'm a dork, leave me alone. :op

well today certainly was interesting. i had an okay day at school, and i had all of my assignments done and ready to turn in for each class, which is rare for me. :op i got all of my work done and i don't have any homework now. wow, i was productive! i just never realized it. hehe. :o) when i came home, i happened upon this thread at nightly and was kind of taken aback with how iku handled that, by basically telling us that we were doing a bad job of moderating, and that he was leaving. then i found and replied to this one, which basically was very immature on his part. i've kind of had enough of him now, so i'm not going to deal with him anymore. it's just the whole stupid deal he blew it up into....

in happier news, the stephen f. austin high school band is on tour currently and is coming to our school tomorrow! :od so all us band kids get to miss 6th period.... weeeeeeee!!! :o) let's see how i am on my weekly goals.

  • read through stage ii of great expectations - i still have 140 pages to go. i probably won't make this one
  • finish my redesign of our band website - i started on the driving directions page, and there's really not much more to do. this one's almost done.
  • finish reading fellowship of the ring - ehh... i just left lothlorien. :op
  • finish floorplan of archgfx project - all i gotta do is the windows. :od

looks like i might get a few of them done.

hey, this is pretty darn

hey, this is pretty darn cool. :o) episodeii.com merged with episode-x.com to once again become the premeire episode ii news site out on the net... which is good because episodeii.com was a great domain and it was being wasted. :o) glad it's in good hands now.

::rolls eyes at tech77jp:: check

::rolls eyes at tech77jp::

check this out. the annoying thing is that he'll never admit that he was wrong, like smitha and i already have.

the band today was really good but they played some pretty boring music. and - whoops! - it was stephen f. austin university, not high school. ^^; my bad. english was boring, geometry was boring... but this really sucks. i needed my geometry teacher to be there today to sign an override form so i can take honors algebra ii next year since i'm only taking regular geometry this year. and we had a sub! arrghh! course selection forms were due today. i ended up going with such...

algebra ii - 2 semesters

world history gt/preap - 2 semesters

chemistry gt/preap - 2 semesters

english ii gt/preap - 2 semesters

band ii - 4 semesters

computer science i - 2 semesters

spanish ii - 2 semesters

total: 16 semesters.

*sigh*

my cd player is dumb.

my cd player is dumb. it can't play tracks 1 or 4 of the lotr soundtrack for some reason. *kicks it* :op

iku, since you're reading this...

iku, since you're reading this... get a life!! :op

estoy escuchando a: system of

estoy escuchando a: system of a down - toxicity - chop suey!

heelllllllllpppppp meeeeeeeee.... i've been awake for 17 hours and will be awake for the next 10. *keels over* *gets up and grabs another can of coke*

ahhh... tis the way of the lan party. we're going to church in an hour or so, then to get food... then come back for more lanning. we're gonna diiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee.

i now turn my blog over to bryan. (push the "post and publish" button when you're done, bryan)

hi, i am bryan...

wow

ok, i am also amdaggie on nightly

yep, thats me!

i like computers

andy is really high on coke right now

and i am really tired, so good night, or morning i guess :-p

i have this system going.

i have this system going. every time i finish a can of coke, i add it to the stack. once the stack is too tall to balance, i know i need to stop drinking coke. right now i'm at six cans and working on seven. :op

seven...

seven...

eight! and with that, the

eight! and with that, the house is devoid of caffeinated beverages. and yet the tower still stands... *is confused as to what to do now*

smitha is giving me some

smitha is giving me some tips on how to make my blog more popular since apparently *nobody* reads it. it's so sad. *hangs head in shame* :op

i've determined that computer monitors

i've determined that computer monitors should be oriented vertically. think about it. how many people like to read something that's in a wide, short column? almost all websites and other programs end up making the workspace or reading space much skinnier side-to-side and then you have to scroll. now how useful is this? you have all this wasted space on the sides, and you have to scroll. that's so dumb. it also makes horizontal frames virtually impossible for low resolution users, and you can get about 450 pixels worth of stuff top to bottom on a standard 800x600 screen. again i say, this is stupid. i need to form a petition.

estoy escuchando a: wolfgang amadeus

estoy escuchando a: wolfgang amadeus mozart - requiem mass - mvmt. xii, agnus dei

estoy haciendo: mi tarea de ingles. bleh.

well, yay! i finished fellowship of the ring. but guess what?! boromir freaking doesn't die! he's supposed to die! die, die, die. painful, horrible, tragic, yet bittersweet, heroic, and valiant death. how come he didn't die? i need to change the thingie up at the top now to say "the two towers".

so about this stupid english paper we have to write in class tomorrow. we have to compare the cask of amontillado with the film amadeus based on any elements we like. i chose characters, irony, and themes. oh boy, so i spent the better part of my afternoon reading the entire script to amadeus and picking out quotes. now i have to go back and reread amontillado for quotes and notes as well. i'm actually kind of feeling good about myself for being so productive though. this semester is going by so much better than the last one because i told myself i want to do well. and so i have. at the moment i'm making all a's, so i'm mucho happy about that.

i'm downloading the entire requiem mass by mozart... it's really good if you get a chance to check it out. i must say though that my dialup connection is straining to download three songs all at once. :op

i think i'm going to be slightly redesigning p.d.r. so that it can incorporate information about the weblog and the author, links to other sites and blogs, and so forth. as of now, i don't have any room for that. and oh yeah, if you're one of those annoying 800x600 users, spread the word and get everyone to up their resolution so us webmasters can start making things a little *bigger*. :op

oh yeah, for you people

oh yeah, for you people that commented saying you read my blog, i didn't say it because no one comments. i said it because my tracking program says so. barely anyone comes here. :op smitha gets hits on an hourly basis. grr. :o)

oh, yay, nana just called. distraction from studying! wheee. :op

i thought i'd try out

i thought i'd try out the tuesday too

1.) when are you spending time frivolously on the internet?

i think you mean "what am i doing when i'm wasting time"? then i would say wasting hours at nightly or designing, redesigning, reredesigning, and rereredesigning numerous websites.

2.) would you describe yourself as an east coast or west coast personality type?

neither, i love texas and i'm here to stay. :o)

3.) it makes me really nervous when i...?

either have an english paper to write the next day that i know is a major grade or whenever i have any type of band audition. for some reason those make me really nervous.

i wonder how many times

i wonder how many times i'm going to say my brother is a moron before i move out.

friday five!

1. hey, baby, what's your sign? do you think it fits you pretty well? scorpio. hmm... sex god? i think not.

2. what's the worst birthday gift you've ever received? the person who gave it to me reads my blog. :op although, i would say the power rangers jigsaw puzzle was pretty bad.

3. what's the best birthday gift you've ever received? good question. anything monetary. :op the best christmas present ever was when my parents gave me my monitor this year ::huggles it::

4. what's the best way you've celebrated your birthday thus far? uh... i remember 7 being pretty good, lol.

5. what are your plans for this weekend? going to friend's house to help produce a play. should be cool. and sleep. don't forget sleep.

sorry i haven't posted much

sorry i haven't posted much in the last couple of days. i've been pretty busy, and i'm trying to do some other web design stuff.

bleh. ::is hating web design

bleh.

::is hating web design right now::

i can't come up with any good layouts. i did one today but emily and i agree that it stinks. if you have any wonderful ideas, by all means, mail them to me.

oh my god. some stupid

oh my god. some stupid animal chewed off my brother's bunny's head and left it in our back yard for my brother to find. my brother is crying right now. god, i feel so bad for him. i wish i could do something... *sigh*

clarification: 'twas a real rabbit,

clarification: 'twas a real rabbit, not a stuffed one.

i was thinking at school

i was thinking at school today... today doesn't really seem like a monday. i'm not really sure why, but it doesn't. considering that i hate mondays, that's probably a good thing. i'm actually supposed to be doing english work (reading great expectations up to ch. 39, i'm on 33), but i decided to take a blog break.

so today was the first day that doug yeo was at our school. he's a nice enough guy, but his standards are way high. he also made references to john williams (who he knows personally! sweet!), star wars, and lord of the rings in one rehearsal, so i'd say he's cool in my book. :od he worked with us mostly on golden bear march, which is sounding a lot better. and he said our tempered steel was pretty good too. the concert is this friday, and i think it's going to be pretty cool. we still have some of our trombone shoir stuff to work on (i think he'll be working on that with us tomorrow) and refinement on other pieces to do, but i think it will be great by then.

i did some interesting drawings in health class today since it is so boring and our teacher is an idiot. he told us that prenatal care prevents schizophrenia later in life. um.... no. he also says that people with adhd can't eat sugar because it throws their metabolism off or something stupid like that. whenever he gets mad at the class and yells, he always stares straight at me even though i never did anything to him. and he did quite a bit of yelling at us today that we watch too much tv or don't help enough around the house or we manage our time poorly or we have too many tardies. he's very preachy.

after school i was required to go to sit in on a brass master class with mr. yeo. i think it was helpful or will be helpful to me, but i also think that two hours was a little much to require someone to attend. i really needed to be home doing my english work, which i'm supposed to be doing now, but without the luxury of some allotted free time. i give myself free time anyway. :op

oh yeah, darthwhoever.com seems to be... not there anymore. i need ideas for new layouts, so mail them to me! i guess that's all the blogging i've got for tonight... ::trudges off to go read some more:: night everyone.

time for the tuesday too:

time for the tuesday too:

1.) in what way is your online personality different from your off line personality?

i try to be as real online as i am offline. i suppose in some ways i'm more honest online than i am offline since it's easier to talk to people when they're not standing there right in front of you. i also make more good friends online, probably because there's just more people to choose from, i guess. i've met smitha and i think she'd tell you that i'm pretty much the same both on and offline.

2.) do you have an unusual animal story? tell us about it.

well, my brother's rabbit just died (see down a few posts), so i guess the subject of animals is a little touchy. actually i've been meaning to post about this. it's really weird, usually i can deal with emotions but for some reason this event seems to be getting to me in a big way. i can't even go into the back yard anymore. last night i was trying to sleep and the wind was blowing and we have these stupid windchimes (i hate windchimes! they scare me.) were clanging, and i kept thinking that i could hear someone or something outside (my room faces the back yard). i actually had to come sleep out on the couch in front of the tv to get my mind off of it. it's been running through my mind all day too... weird.

an unusual animal story? i guess it's kind of funny that my brother had a turtle that ran away. then he got another one and that one ran away too. i was unaware until this time that turtles could actually run away but they can, apparently. can you tell that my family has horrible luck with animals? well, if you can't, then i'll say it: we have horrible luck with animals.

3.) why would you, or wouldn't you want your mother to read your blog?

well i don't think i would really mind if my mom read my blog; in fact, i think she has once in a while. but i think i'm a little more open and honest in my blog than i am in real life, like i said. so i don't know if i would necessarily want my mom to know that i'm actually paranoid about a bunny dying or something like that. i'm the type of person that keeps things inside me for the most part. don't tell me about how i shouldn't do that because i'm prone to stress and tension, because i know. :op but some people just aren't open about things and some are. the problem is that the rest of my family is always really verbal about things, so they often do things like "go around the table and tell what your new year's resolution is" or "everyone tell one thing they're giving up for lent" and my answer is always "dunno...". that's just the kind of person i am.

brr.... it is freaking cold

brr.... it is freaking cold today. and of course, today is the day when i have to walk back and forth between buildings at school. stupid weather. :op i want it to be summer!

estoy escuchando a: hans zimmer

estoy escuchando a: hans zimmer - gladiator - the wheat

'twas even colder today than it was yesterday. i actually had to wear long pants today. :o/ i hate having to do that.

i must say, i really like doug yeo. something that really bugs me is all the people that are in band because they want the fine arts credit or the p.e. credit and not because they want to be there. and the band directors know that so they don't push those people too hard. but when we have a guest conductor or something like this, the guest conductor will expect as much out of them as anyone else, which makes us a better band overall, and that's pretty cool. mr. yeo gave all of the trombonists a douglas yeo floaty pen™. :op you can see what they look like at his website. he said they were a gift because he enjoyed the time he got to spend with us or something like that. :o) but it's really cool and i'm currently using it to conduct the gladiator soundtrack (which has been living in my cd player sans oxygen for about a week).

at the moment i'm trying to think of the things i need to do for school tomorrow. i have some vocab work to do for english because we have a quiz tomorrow. i also need to study my biology for my test on friday. hmmm.... i wonder if there's anything else. nope, don't think so.

i got to eat doughnuts for breakfast today in the school cafeteria. :od they were actually really good, too. you know what? i need something like emily and lauren have to seperate thoughts in my blog. emily uses :::::sparkle::::: and lauren uses :::::honk:::::. what should i use? leave your suggestions in the comments. :op

i think i'm gonna get that stupid vocabulary done so i can have it over with.

::glares:: there is this stupid
