dallas rocked. i got to

dallas rocked.

i got to meet my aunt who lives in fort worth, and she took me to lunch. we got to perform in the coolest concert hall ever. we went to six flags and medieval times, and to the mall and now i can't even talk. :op and our school won the competition. obviously, since we're the best. ;o)

so i got back today with every intention of seeing spider-man with my friends, and i found out my seven-month pregnant aunt had had her baby prematurely over the weekend. so, we went to see her in the hospital and i didn't get my movie. i'm really praying that the baby pulls through. she's doing well now, but she only weighs 1 lb. 13 oz. i got to see her, but she was sleeping. she was *very* small but extremely cute. ::sigh:: ::tries not to be worried:: anyway, we're going to see the movie on friday now.

and here's the best part. a picture's worth a thousand words. :od

tuesday too # 11 1.)

tuesday too # 11

1.) over the last few months i've run across a few blogs (disappearing blogs) that state "i've stopped blogging because..." why might you consider stopping your online journal? if nothing could stop you, and you're totally committed to blogging why?

if i were to ever stop blogging (which i did for a month - note the dead "december" archive link for 2001.) it would be because i had no time to sit down and write it like i wanted it. i haven't been doing too much blogging as of late because of an increase in activities in school work and such. oh how i look forward to summer.

2.) you arrive at the gates of heaven, and the gatekeeper says, "there's been a mistake..." what mistake? or who is mistaken about what?

eh, i'm lucky to make it to the gates of heaven in the first place. i'll count my blessings. ;o)

3.) there is a theory in psychology about silencing the self. current research looks at whether men and women differ in how much they silence themselves and at what time/stage in a relationship they do so. on chad's site i once read a post. about how men's blogs differ from women's blogs. do you think this is true and if so how do they differ?

i think each person is different, regardless of gender. one man might "silence himself" different than another man. and same with women. as far as the blogs go, i think women may tend to be more verbose and stylish about their writing, while men kind of give the vital information in one or two lines. but i'd be willing to bet that that's just because most of the females i know who have blogs are also writers, and the males aren't.

... ... ... dear god,

dear god, i'm in shock. that was totally awesome! we arrived at about 9:00, and they had people lining up outside for the 8(!) different theaters. as soon as a movie would let out, they'd clean it and let a group in. my science teacher from last year was first in line for our theater. we were maybe five or six groups back. he came back there and asked us what we were doing so far back. ;o) greg brought travel monopoly, which everyone played but me, because there weren't enough game pieces. :op i was enjoying checking out all the costumes and props. one guy had a fluorescent lightsaber. i swear, i need one of those. i am so getting one. they were playing this really bad music while we waited, so i went to the manager and asked if he could play the aotc soundtrack (which i brought along), but he said they were under contract to play the bad music. i told him the music sucked and left. :op so here i am, telling the world that the ncn (national cinema network) has sucky music. anyway, so we were the last theater to let in, at about 11:15. the concession stand was being overrun so they brought carts full of every concession into every theater and sold them at the bottom. :op they theater people forgot to turn on the sub speakers for the previews so everyone was yelling "turn it up!" and of course, the matrix reloaded/revolution got great cheers. right at the end of the men in black ii trailer, someone just said "moooooooo." and everyone cracked up. i think we were all high on caffeine. so finally the 20th century fox theme played, (cheers). a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, (cheers). star wars, (wild screaming).

ssssspppppoooooiiiiillllleeeeerrrrrsssss!!!!!

good

  • great way of opening the movie. i thought it set up the whole film quite nicely.

  • i liked zam's character - she's a female bad guy. how cool is that? :op

  • "you don't want to sell me death sticks" "you want to go home and rethink your life"

  • hayden was so completely believable. he pulled off the character perfectly.

  • the way padmé treated anakin in the beginning was so great. "oh, he's not a jedi. he's just a padawan. so anyway..."

  • butt-kickin' yoda!! he's my hero. duuuuuude, yoda is so cool.

  • the fact that the comic relief came from the droids and not from jar jar

  • thank you lucas for not lazily copying and pasting clone troopers in the end of aotc like you did with the gungans in the parade in the end of tpm.

  • jar jar is responsible for the entire galactic civil war!! lmao!!

  • obi-wan realizing he was attached to jango. "not good!"

  • anakin fighting with two sabers. sweeeeeeeet.

  • loved the ending. perfectly esb-esque.

not so good

  • yoda looked different in every scene. decide on a color and lighting, please.

  • jango fett wasn't nearly as cool as i hoped. he kind of died too easy.

  • what is with the zooming in so fast on things? it's so unprofessional. it just says "cheesy 50s horror flick" to me.

  • why'd cliegg have to be shmi's husband?? that was totally not a good idea, unless it has some bearing on the story of eiii.

  • the cg of zam as a changling (trek ripoff!!) looked really fake and reminded my of something from the mummy returns.

  • mace windu doesn't know what to do with his saber when he's not fighting. :op

i think this is my second or third favorite, next to esb and maybe anh. it was all in all awesome. way to go trying to fix your stupid mistakes from tpm, lucas. :op

5. more. days. yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! i

5. more. days.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! i only have two english classes left. or spanish or geometry for that reason, too. hurray for block scheduling. and i get to blueprint my plans from architectural graphics on monday... it's almost over, i can't believe it. it's harder to believe that i've had this blog for almost a year now... and i've made no where near as many posts as smitha. :op and i'm in a pretty good mood right now because i got to see aotc again last night with my family, and i bought a new keyboard today. i'm also feeling productive because i'm almost finished with animal farm and it's not even due until tuesday. go andu.

:::::w00t:::::

i'm working on a new design for pdr, since the aotc design was mostly out of my hype in waiting for the movie and that doesn't quite apply anymore. :op so, what do you think? green/grey? white/blue? black/grey? i need some ideas. if you have any, feel free to suggest them in the comments. :o)

grar. andu is getting carpal

grar. andu is getting carpal tunnel syndrome. i have really bad posture at the computer and when playing piano. and playing trombone really makes you use your left wrist in a way it shouldn't be used, so my left one is worse than my right one. now if i type or play piano (especially the latter) for any length of time my wrists start hurting really bad. i have to go get a physical for band soon, so when i go i'm going to ask about it. mom says i'm going to need wrist braces. blech.

it was the best of

it was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way -- in short, the period was so far like the present period that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

i'll finally admit that my mom was right. that paragraph sums up being a teenager.

oh, and i finished animal

oh, and i finished animal farm. it was easy. now i just need to study the heck out of romeo and juliet because more than half the english final is based on it. figures, the one book i don't understand and couldn't read. :op

last day of school. wooooo!!!!!!!

last

day

of

school.

wooooo!!!!!!! now all i have is finals and i'm a sophomore!! sweeeeeeet! i didn't get all a's like i was hoping thanks to the ever-harsh grading of my english teacher (::growls::), but i know i did my best and whatever i get isn't in my control, so i don't feel bad about it... maybe a little disappointed, but not bad.

in other news, saw aotc again. this makes #3. :od it just keeps getting better and better. *yawn* i'm rather sleepy now.

well, finals week has been

well, finals week has been quite nice. yesterday i went in at 7:30, took my english and geometry final, and came home at 11:45. today i went in a 9:30, and came home at 11:45. i could get used to this. ;o) anyway, today i went back to my english teacher and found out i got a 79 on the exam (which is about what i was expecting), which puts me at an 85 for the semester. i think i did really well in my geometry class though. i kinda need to study for my biology final tomorrow, but i'm not extremely worried about it. i'm just ready to have it over with. :o)

lol, joe, i saw your

lol, joe, i saw your comment. i purposely left out names. ;o) but it's all good.
